Student council is the student government organization of Christ the Divine Teacher School. The purpose of the council is to serve the faculty, staff, and students of the school, as well as those in need in the surrounding communities. Mrs. Slough is the faculty adviser of the student council.
The student council consists of an elected executive board of sixth, seventh and eighth graders who organize, participate in, and conduct activities to support school spirit and service. There are also homeroom representatives who work as the heads of committees. The committees are spiritual life (runs prayer services and other religious activities), social (plans the Logic School dances), service (organizes larger-scale charity projects and helps around the school), advertising (creates posters and announcements for events), fundraising (runs events to help fund activities and/or make charitable donations), and special connections (a mentor groups who works with younger students).
Some of the council's activities include spirit wear and dress down days, contests, school-wide activities, and community and school service projects. The officers and homeroom representatives are also in charge of running the School Store located in the cafeteria. Members work together to help create the type of school environment they feel the student body desires.
