FAMILY SUPPORT COMMITTEE

 

The mission of the Family Support Committee at Christ the Divine Teacher

School is to support our  students, families,  and faculty who may be going

through a difficult time or transition, such as a death, serious illness,

or hospitalization in the family, birth of a baby (happy but stressful!),

job loss, divorce, or other difficulty.  We aim to offer whatever support

we can, such as help with meals or carpooling, help connecting

to useful resources, or simply a card or a listening ear.   

 

Another way we seek to provide support throughout the

CDT community is by mobilizing prayer efforts.  A school prayer board

for our families’ special intentions is located outside the gym and all children

and families are invited to submit special intentions for the prayer board

so that we may pray together for one another.

 

Every family in our school is connected by the common goals

we share for our children.  Our committed group of parent volunteers

seeks to reinforce our connection as a school family by reaching

out with help and prayer.  If you are aware of a CDT family in need,

please contact Jennifer Oldenburg (oldenburgfamily@verizon.net

or by way of note to the school office).   Also, if you have an ill family member,

recent death in the family, military deployment or any other special intention,

please invite the school community to pray for you or your loved one by

posting your intention on our school’s Prayer Request Board.
