Athletic Association

Christ The Divine Teacher School Athletic Association is an active part of the school community. The Association is responsible for ensuring the valid participation of students in Grades 4-8 in the Greensburg Diocesan CYO League.

The Athletic Association is made up of all parents whose children participate in a CDT sponsored athletic event.

An Executive Board serves as the the head of this active school group. Members of the Athletic Association Executive Board, with the exception of the School Administration, are nominated to and elected by the parents of Christ the Divine Teacher School. The officers serve a two year term, with elections taking place in May for terms to begin in June. The Executive Board is responsible for submitting appropriate fees and forms to the Diocesan CYO Office in order for school sponsored teams to participate. Additionally, the board must appoint, approve and monitor individuals who serve as coaches. The Association is responsible for fundraising activities to purchase equipment, uniforms and submit Diocesan Athletic Participation fees.

The Athletic Association provides opportunities for students in Grades K-3 to participate in an Instructional League. Students in Grades 4-8 are eligible to participate in Basketball, Volleyball and Cheerleading. The varied athletic events run from August to April. Students in Grades 7 & 8 are also eligible to participate on the Greensburg Central Catholic Middle School Football and Track teams.
