Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science
Sponsor: Mrs. Pam Cullen
Each year, all sevnth and eight grade students are required to conduct a scientific research project. Select students with outstanding projects are chosen to participate at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science regional meet held each year in February.
At the regional meet, students give timed oral presentations about their projects after which judges may ask questions for a timed period. First place finishers qualify to attend the state meet, which is held in May each year at Penn State University in State College.
Students from CDT have been participating at PJAS meets since 1991.
