Curriculum
Christ the Divine Teacher School strives to offer a well balanced curriculum by
which knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for daily living can be acquired.
The curriculum is designed to meet all educational standards as set forth by
the state of Pennsylvania, as well as by the Diocese of Greensburg.
Courses include: religion, language arts (reading, phonics, English, spelling,
and handwriting), mathematics, science, physical education, music, art,
health, Spanish, and computer technology.
The curriculum also boasts a number of unique strengths
Ø Spanish begins in kindergarten and continues through eighth grade.
Ø Fine arts is integrated throughout the curriculum with opportunities
for students to receive individual instrumental and vocal music lessons, and to participate in band,
chorus, and plays. A Center for Creativity and Fine Arts compliments the school campus.
Ø The music program is enhanced through choir, quartets, solo performances, and cantoring.
Ø State of the art, hands-on, inquiry based science laboratory.
Ø Automated up-to-date library.
