Poetry Winners

Eighth graders Caroline Colcome, Jessica Findish, John Leonard, and Jason Pina recently had their poetry published in A Celebration of Poets by Creative Communications.  Their poems were chosen for their vivid images and clarity of thought.  A copy of the anthology will become part of the permanent collection of the school library.


More poetry from the 6th - 8th grades was published
in the spring.  This is quite a talented group of young writers!

                    Images      

The clouds dance across the sky,
Spinning, twirling, running by.
Walking slowly, then picking up the pace,
Jogging, running, sprinting,
They get gray and dreary-eyed.
They start to cry and then to hide.
The sun comes out.
The clouds run away.
Please come back;
I wish for you to stay.
