Annual Cultural Study                                         

It is the practice at Christ The Divine Teacher School to implement a yearly cultural study and experience using all of our academic resources and immerse students in cultures through many mediums. 

This school year we will focus on “Asia” as our cultural study.  Each grade level has chosen a particular Asian country that they will learn about.  



                                                                                         
The countries chosen are:
 

v  Preschool and kindergarten – China

v  Grade One – Vietnam

v  Grade Two – Tibet

v  Grade Three – Korea

v  Grade Four – Japan

v  Grade Five – India

v  Grade Six – Russia

v  Grades Seven and Eight – Israel 

Our study will focus on each country’s economy, religious beliefs, food, clothing, shelter, communications, art, and recreation.  A culminating activity will take place near the end of the school year so that all classes will be able to share their findings with the entire school community.
