School History

Peace pole outside Christ the Divine Teacher School.Christ The Divine Teacher School, a Catholic educational facility, located in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, is a consolidated school established in 1990 in the Diocese of Greensburg. The school was formed through the merger of Holy Family, St. John the Evangelist, and Saint Vincent Basilica parishes to create a united school community. 

Today, the school contains students from 19 different parishes, as well as students from other religious denominations.  Local communities served include: Latrobe, Ligonier, Derry, Greensburg, Mount Pleasant, Champion, Blairsville, Acme, Saltsburg and Pleasant Unity. Christ The Divine Teacher School remains a vital and expanding elementary school in the four county Diocese of Greensburg.
